Louisiana’s 1.3 billion gallons per year of RD (Renewable Diesel) and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) capacity currently trails California, but the state would jump into the lead with 3.2 billion gallons in capacity should several planned projects be completed, reports Industrial Info Resources.
Industrial Info’s Vice President of Energy Intelligence Hillary Stevenson says the reason could be that the state is second in the permitting of Class VI wells used for carbon capture, usage and storage (CCUS) permitting.
