Louisiana International Trade Week set for November

Both Baton Rouge and New Orleans will be celebrating Louisiana International Trade Week Nov. 5-8 with a variety of speakers and events.

The Baton Rouge celebration will take place Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Water Institute/The Estuary, 1110 South River Road. On Nov. 6, a networking reception is planned at the Port of New Orleans from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., featuring Felton M. Jones Jr. of Ballard Brands and chief roastmaster of PJ’s Coffee on Perspectives from a Local Global Disruptor: Not Just Your Local Coffee Shop Anymore. The New Orleans celebration is set for Nov. 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Marriott Convention Center, 859 Convention Center Blvd.

Our keynote speaker will provide an entertaining detailed overview of U.S. trade politics, beginning with the foundation of our system after World War II and ending with our current trade standoffs with China and others.
