Delivering complex industrial projects takes skilled execution, engineering expertise and the trust of surrounding communities. This year’s finalists are strengthening those foundations through a commitment to safety, technology that brings work to Louisiana and relationships that help industry move forward.
Orion Engineers + Constructors
The key to Orion Engineers + Constructors’ impact has been its use of modern engineering tools, digital collaboration platforms and project management technology to extend its reach beyond Louisiana into other regions.
The technology-enabled approach allows the industrial designer/constructor to work seamlessly with clients and projects across broader geographic markets while still anchoring core engineering, design and project execution functions in Louisiana.
As a result, Orion can “bring work back home,” channeling projects secured nationally into Louisiana-based teams, thereby increasing local economic activity and professional opportunities. The model not only expands the company’s competitiveness but also supports the state’s broader energy ecosystem by keeping high-quality engineering work local.
In doing so, they help position Louisiana as a participant in the energy industry and as a strategic base of operations for delivering complex energy projects across an increasingly connected and global market. On a national level, the company supports large-scale infrastructure and energy projects across the U.S., particularly in industrial and utility sectors. Globally, Orion’s work ties into international energy and industrial markets through its clients and project scope.
RES Contractors
Over the past decade, RES Contractors has completed more than 1,600 projects for industrial clients across the Gulf Coast, providing electrical, instrumentation, fabrication, commissioning, maintenance and construction services. The company is built to scale during major projects and turnarounds while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement.
That performance has earned RES numerous state and national honors, including the 2026 Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance Safety Excellence Award and recognition on ABC National’s Top Performers List. The company also recently completed a comprehensive leadership training program focused on accountability, communication and stronger management across the organization.
RES is equally focused on developing the next generation of skilled workers. It participates in high school career fairs, ABC’s Build Your Future events and GBRIA’s Teacher Externship Program, introducing students and educators to industrial career pathways. Its community support also extends to school athletic programs, FFA chapters, churches, volunteer fire departments, charitable organizations and local fundraisers, along with contributions to the American Heart Association and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
The TJC Group
This consulting firm has helped industrial clients secure and sustain public support by building knowledge, trust and goodwill among stakeholders.
The firm currently supports clients representing more than $40 billion in announced investment, providing public affairs, stakeholder and community engagement, strategic communications, reputation management, governmental and regulatory affairs, industry association management and Community Advisory Panel facilitation.
A major part of that work centers on CAPs, which bring community stakeholders and industrial facility leaders together for candid dialogue, feedback and relationship-building. The TJC Group currently manages and professionally facilitates 22 CAPs representing more than 70 industrial sites, more than any other firm in the U.S.
While much of its work has supported new industrial investments and projects across Louisiana, the firm also works extensively with existing facilities, helping them maintain strong community relationships, address emerging concerns and strengthen the long-term public license to operate that is critical to continued industrial growth.
