The Danos Foundation, the charitable arm of Gray-based oilfield services company Danos, received the Community Impact Award at the inaugural Louisiana Energy Awards, presented by 10/12 Industry Report and Baton Rouge Business Report. The event, held Nov. 5 at L’Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge, celebrated leadership, innovation and corporate citizenship across Louisiana’s energy sector.

Selected by an independent panel of judges and presented by Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan Bourgeois, the Community Impact Award honors companies that demonstrate exceptional commitment to improving lives and strengthening communities through service and philanthropy.

Presented by 10/12 Industry Report and Baton Rouge Business Report, the Louisiana Energy Awards honor the companies, leaders and initiatives driving excellence, innovation and sustainable growth across Louisiana’s energy economy.

Founded in 1947, Danos is a family-owned and operated energy service provider headquartered in Gray, Louisiana. The company delivers integrated services to the oil and gas and renewables industries, including production, construction, fabrication, logistics, and automation. Through the Danos Foundation, the company invests in initiatives that support families, foster sustainability and combat hunger in communities across Louisiana and beyond.

Since 2017, the foundation has distributed more than $1.4 million to nonprofits focused on family support, sustainability and hunger relief. Its initiatives empower employees to contribute both time and money, with every donation matched by the company and supported by measurable community grants. Local organizations such as Bless Your Heart and Second Harvest credit the Foundation’s generosity and hands-on volunteerism with fueling critical food programs across Lafourche and Terrebonne Parishes and Grand Isle.

The Foundation’s work is inspired by Danos’ culture of service, instilled over three generations of family leadership. From employee-led volunteer projects to global missions, the company encourages every team member to “do better” in both work and life.
