Gov. Landry reverses course on solar program

Gov. Jeff Landry has reversed his stance on the Solar for All program, initially backing the program launched under President Joe Biden and the $156 million given to the state in April 2024, but now calling it a costly “green pipe dream” that would raise power bills.

The Trump administration ended the $7 billion program last week, with EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin saying Congress cut it in the latest GOP tax and spending bill. Read more from Louisiana Illuminator.
