Center for Energy Studies launches Louisiana Energy News

Sponsored by LSU Center for Energy Studies

The Center for Energy Studies launched a new online resource—the Louisiana Energy News.

This tool was developed in response to Act 727 of the 2024 Regular Legislative Session, which calls upon CES, in cooperation with the Office of Energy within the Louisiana Department of Conservation and Energy, to create and maintain a comprehensive energy data and information program for the state.

The Louisiana Energy News Archive compiles historical news articles related to Louisiana’s energy sector, offering a centralized view of the developments that shape our state’s energy landscape. With regular updates, the archive will ensure stakeholders have timely access to important information.

LSU is in the process of reorganizing its energy programs, including the Center for Energy Studies, the Institute for Energy Innovation, and the Louisiana Geological Survey. These entities are being unified under the newly established Energy Institute to expand and coordinate LSU’s energy research, data, and policy efforts.
