Bill proposes clean hydrogen task force

A legislative bill targeting Louisiana’s clean hydrogen industry advanced through the House chambers on Thursday, reports KALB News.

The bill, House Concurrent Resolution 64, proposes the creation of a new task force known as the “Clean Hydrogen Task Force.” The proposed objective of the task force would be to study Louisiana’s clean hydrogen industry. The bill refers to Louisiana as both a leading energy carrier and producer with the Pelican State leading the nation in energy transition, with over one-third of total industrial investments in clean energy or emissions reductions.

Upon completion of the study, HCR64 would require the proposed task force to develop and report a plan of recommendations on the state’s future in the growing industry, to both the governor and legislative body. Read more.
