Commonwealth LNG in Cameron Parish has signed an LNG sale and purchase agreement with Mercuria Energy Trading to provide 1 million tons per year of LNG for 20 years, reports LNG Industry. The deal also includes a gas supply agreement with Mercuria Americas for the supply of a corresponding quantity of natural gas to Commonwealth.
Mercuria is one of the world’s largest independent energy and commodities traders. With the signing of the agreement, Commonwealth has secured long-term, binding offtake agreements for seven of the facility’s 9.5 million tons per year of permitted capacity. Read more from LNG Industry.
