This product-handling and site logistics company founded by CEO Brian Haymon in 2021 provides critical downstream support services, including product handling and site-based logistics services for refineries, chemical plants, bulk liquid storage terminals and barge lines.

Operating under long-term contracts, it works as an integral part of a site’s daily operations by operating customer assets such as loading racks, rail yards, marine docks, warehouses, tank farms, barge fleets and underground storage facilities.

Loadstar doesn’t shy away from innovation. It was the first company to create virtual reality training for tank car loading. In turn, VR reduces training time, improves knowledge retention, and allows for refresher training anywhere there is Wi-Fi access.

It also outsourced the development of custom logistics software, enabling customers to see vessel transfer operations in real time and allowing them to better schedule movements and improve vessel and dock utilization. Users can also check invoices, track incident history and corrective actions, and view a custom KPI dashboard.

Loadstar also recently outsourced the development of AI software to continuously scan its safety observation data produced in the field.

The program looks for trends, spots gaps in employee field observations, and generates emails to supervisors to address.

Louisiana’s only Certified Evergreen company, Loadstar has been vetted by the Tugboat Institute for its commitment to long-term sustainability and growth over short-term profits.
