Company eyeing Louisiana offshore wind invests in floating drydock

Crowley Wind Services of Jacksonville, Fla. announced last week that it has invested in Tugdock, developers of the world’s first road-transportable floating drydock for offshore wind development, reports Workboat.

Crowley is currently developing and planning wind terminals in Louisiana, California and Massachusetts. The drydock is known as the Tugdock Submersible Platform (TSP). Tugdock is based in Cornwall, UK.

Crowley and Tugdock will explore potential use of the platforms in locations where depth and conventional drydocks may be ill-suited for the logistics required. Read the entire story.
