Founded in 1909, ExxonMobil Baton Rouge is one of the largest publicly traded international energy and petrochemical companies in the nation.
Its footprint is vast: refinery and chemical facilities, polyolefins and plastics plants just north of the main complex, and the Port Allen lubricants plant.
Across its complex, ExxonMobil produces chemical products such as isopropyl alcohol, rubber liners for tires and adhesives used in health care, automotive and manufacturing. Its polyolefins plant supplies materials for items such as milk jugs, diapers and car parts, and their plastics plant provides solutions for food packaging, wire and cable applications and automotive components like belts and hoses.

In Port Allen, its lubricants and aviation plant produces some 125 million gallons annually of approximately 130 different lubricant variations.
Over the decades, ExxonMobil has continued to make generational investments in Louisiana. The company is currently positioning itself to become a leader in CCS technology through the 2023 acquisition of Denbury’s CO2 pipeline network, including nearly 885 miles of pipelines in Louisiana.
