Entergy Louisiana provides electric service to more than 1 million customers in 58 parishes, as well as natural gas service to more than 94,000 customers in Baton Rouge.

In April 2024, the energy provider launched a comprehensive five-year grid resilience plan approved by the Louisiana Public Service Commission. The initiative encompasses more than 2,100 projects aimed at reinforcing approximately 69,000 transmission and distribution structures statewide.

Entergy Louisiana has also been proactive in expanding its renewable energy portfolio. In 2024, the company filed a request with the Louisiana Public Service Commission to add up to three gigawatts of solar power to its generation portfolio, marking the largest renewable power expansion request in the state’s history.

Additionally, it played a pivotal role in securing Meta Platforms’ $10 billion investment in a new data center in Richland Parish. This project, one of the largest economic development endeavors in the state’s history, is expected to bolster the local economy and create numerous job opportunities.
