The inaugural Southern Energy Conference takes place next week in Lafayette at the DoubleTree by Hilton, presented jointly by the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association and the Louisiana Mid-Continent Oil and Gas Association.
On the agenda for the two-day event Sept. 17-18 are a Gubernatorial Forum, critical updates on the oil and gas industry and CLE credits for professionals in multiple fields. Among the session topics: Louisiana Shale Plays, Diversity in Energy, Energy on the Federal Level, Outlook on the Gulf of Mexico, LNG Expansion in Louisiana and Practical Energy Policies Nationwide. On Wednesday, keynote speaker for the luncheon is Justin Ehrenwerth of The Water Institute of the Gulf.
Candidates Eddie Rispone and Congressman Ralph Abraham have both confirmed their attendance and Governor John Bel Edwards has been invited. The Gubernatorial Forum will take place in the evening on Tuesday, September 17th.
