Australia’s energy giant Woodside is moving its $17.5 billion LNG development project in Calcasieu Parish closer to a 2029 first cargo date with a new construction milestone, reports Offshore Energy.
The project was 28 percent complete at the end of the second quarter of 2026 as buildout activities gather pace. Since announcing a final investment decision (FID) more than 14 months ago, activities at the site have ramped up, with two massive LNG storage tanks and three LNG trains currently under construction.
