SpaceX is planning a major maritime shipping complex along Freshwater Bayou in Vermilion Parish, connecting Gulf Coast facilities to inland waterways. Preliminary plans include 3,500 feet of docking space, hundreds of acres for cargo staging, extensive dredging and 15.5 miles of heavy-haul roads.
